I adapt and direct classical theater and opera, building from strong concepts and taking risks, always striving to maximize accessibility for the broadest possible audience.

 

That's been a calling of sorts since 1995, when Washington Shakespeare took a chance on my directorial debut, Two Gentlemen of Verona.

I found a second artistic home at the In Series,  where I first directed multilingual productions, learned the joys of directing zarzuela, and later discovered Mozart: gifts to last a lifetime.
