DIRECTOR OF THEATER WITH YOUNG ARTISTS

From high school to preschool; from full time school positions, to theater camps, to artist residencies, I've directed over one hundred student productions, along the way training and collaborating with thousands of young actors, directors, playwrights, designers and technicians.

While helping me develop a great deal as a director, these productions have taught me even more about teaching.

In contrast to the professional stage, my main concern in school productions is always much less the experience of the audience than that of the young performers.

The education and growth of the students is the guiding principal, more critical than how fully the director’s artistic vision is realized, nor even the aesthetic value in the eye of the beholder.
